Before founding SoundNJoy, Ju Hyun Kim followed the traditional path of a classical musician.
After years of intensive training, earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, performing in concert halls, and teaching, she discovered a new calling during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While many performance opportunities disappeared overnight, it also created an opportunity to reimagine how live music could connect with people.
Instead of limiting classical music to formal concert venues, the vision became clear:

That idea became SoundNJoy.
Today, SoundNJoy serves weddings and private events throughout New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, and beyond.
Why SoundNJoy Was Created
SoundNJoy was built on a simple belief:

Inspired by the historic European salon tradition, where musicians performed in intimate gatherings and became part of meaningful human experiences, SoundNJoy was created to offer something beyond traditional event entertainment.
