SoundNJoy was founded in 2021 after 20+ years of professional performance. Our conservatory-trained musicians (many with master’s/doctorate degrees) provide live wedding music across New Jersey—wedding violinist NJ, string duo/trio, and string quartet NJ—for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions in Central & Northern NJ, NYC & PA.

SoundNJoy is based in New Jersey and performs across Central & Northern NJ, New York City, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. We are also available for destination weddings and special events outside NJ.

Pricing depends on the number of musicians (solo violin, string duo, trio, or quartet) and the length of your event. Contact SoundNJoy for a personalized quote for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception.

A $25 base travel fee applies to venues more than 15 miles from the George Washington Bridge (NJ side), plus $1 per mile per musician. Tolls are billed separately.

Couples usually book 6–12 months in advance. Booking early ensures availability, especially for peak wedding season.
All bookings include music selections tailored to your event, and couples who book early enjoy an Early Booking Perk with additional song choices for a more personalized experience.

A signed agreement and non-refundable deposit are required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full one month before the event date. All payment terms and payment methods will be provided in your booking agreement.

All deposits are non-refundable. If a cancellation occurs within 30 days of the event, the full balance may still be required as outlined in our contract. We strongly recommend reviewing the booking agreement for complete cancellation terms.

Yes. Along with our extensive repertoire of classical, pop, jazz, and movie soundtracks, you are welcome to request special songs that hold meaning for you. We also accommodate custom playlists whenever possible, and if a piece is not already in our library, we can often prepare a special arrangement to make your celebration truly personal.

Yes. While our repertoire includes hundreds of classical, pop, jazz, and movie favorites, we understand that some couples have a song with unique meaning. SoundNJoy offers custom arrangements of songs not already in our library. This service is available as an add-on for $200 per song, and provides a professional string arrangement tailored to your chosen ensemble.

Yes. SoundNJoy provides live music not only for ceremonies but also for cocktail hours, receptions, and special events. For these parts of the celebration, we perform from a curated set list of classical favorites, pop hits, and jazz standards to create the perfect atmosphere. Couples may also request a few special songs. With our Early Booking Perk, you can include additional song requests to further personalize the playlist.

Yes, we can coordinate attire to match your wedding theme or colors upon request.

For events with over 100 guests or when hiring fewer than 4 musicians, we recommend using a sound system with microphones and speakers to ensure the best experience. For outdoor weddings and events, regardless of ensemble size, a sound system is strongly advised. SoundNJoy can arrange this upon request (additional fees may apply).

Yes, we can perform at outdoor weddings and events. To ensure performance quality and protect our instruments, the setup must be in a shaded, dry, and level area. String instruments are sensitive to moisture and direct sunlight, and the temperature should remain between 60–85°F.

Yes. SoundNJoy carries liability insurance, and we are happy to provide your venue with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request. Please note that if your venue requires additional coverage beyond our standard policy, any extra expense will be added to your invoice.
